Happy Holidays to all – here is the 2008 edition of the main tree,.
I wish everyone a safe and joyous Christmas and New Years.
I will post more pictures of this year’s decorations soon!
This ornament is by designer John Toole. It is a plaid red reflector ornament, and was purchased at the The House Downtown here in Baltimore. It is a definite favorite of mine.
This joyful caroler is a Wallace cookie ornament. Wallace Silversmiths produced a series of charming ornaments they called “cookie” ornaments. The first ones were fashioned and looked like cookies, later ones kept the name, but were not as wed to the cookie concept. I have a good number of them, and am still looking for a few final ones to complete the set.
From Colonial Williamsburg, the Governor’s Palace. Purchased on vacation at Williamsburg.
Just flown in from Transylvania – “The Count” by David Strand. Purchased this year from the Glass Pheasant in San Francisco.
This handsome fellow is “Le Gascon du Roi,” a limited edition ornament purchased directly from De Carlini in Italy. The design and detail are impressive and this ornament is quickly now one of my favorites.
Sorry if you have been visiting and not finding this site – I switched carriers for the url, and the transfer meant the site was unavailable for about a week. I should be back to posting tomorrow, and the break actually helped – I have three trees up, and one more to go. Look forward to lots of pictures soon of the 2008 display!
